Like many other socia...That is an excellent point. Like many other social demographics, nerds will drop tons of money on frivolous things. I suppose the "acceptable to be nerdy" aspect more comes from the fact that I hear some of my highschool students discussing nerdier things more or less openly without catching flak for it. As for video games I think the technology has advanced to a point where just about anyone can be hooked to video games. Whether it is a result of the magnificent landscapes, huge explosions, realistic racing or whatever, they are being marketed to all parts of society. So things that were once designated as being for "kids and nerds" are now being marketed across society.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
